 reports, 1d 18h agoDaily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. When you make your sculptures, do you use a wire (or other type) form underneath?

Funny i just bought armature wires today.
i use armature wires, they are made from aluminium usually, or if u can get copper wires, they are good also. and then when youve finalized your structure, you thicken and stuff with aluminium foil. have a look at my work 'making of leviathan' in my gallery.
and this dragon is approx 16cmH x 16cmL.
I was inspired today and decided to try my first real sculpture. I used copper mesh, and it's working pretty well for me. I'll definitely have to try armature wire too.
